How the StockLearn Mutual Fund Scanner works

1,761 funds from public NAV data, ranked and stage-tagged — what every column means and how the verdict is built.

Most mutual-fund sites hand you a static table of returns and leave you to make sense of it. The StockLearn Mutual Fund Scanner does the opposite: it ranks the entire universe every day and flags which funds are actually delivering — so you start from a shortlist, not a spreadsheet.

The universe

The scanner covers roughly 1,761 funds, direct-growth plans, built from publicly available AMFI NAV data and refreshed after each update. You can filter by group (Equity, Hybrid, Debt, Index/ETF, FoF), by AMC, by category, or search by fund name.

SIP health — the honest headline

At the top sits a deliberately blunt number. For equity funds (illustrative, 17 Jul 2026): 623 total · 86 “good” (1Y ≥ 10%) · 479 “review” (1Y < 10%). It's a one-line reality check on how many equity funds are actually clearing a basic bar — most, on any given window, are not.

What each column means

Four ways in

Beyond the main list, four analytic views go deeper: Category / Sector Momentum (which segments are leading), Compare Returns (your fund vs its category leader), Category Snapshot, and a full per-fund page with rolling returns and SIP-vs-lumpsum.

The caveat that sits on every screen

A standing banner reminds you that returns, expense ratios and AUM are approximate, derived from public NAV data, and may lag or differ from the AMC's official figures — for information only, verify with the AMC before investing. That honesty is deliberate: the scanner is a research lens, not a source of truth.

Key takeaways

  • ~1,761 direct-growth funds, ranked nightly from public AMFI NAV data.
  • SIP-health flags how many equity funds clear a basic 1Y bar — usually a minority.
  • Peer Rank judges each fund within its own category, not across all funds.
  • Four views go deeper: sector momentum, vs-leader, category snapshot, per-fund page.
  • Every figure is labelled approximate and NAV-derived — verify with the AMC.
